GUILLERMO GÓMEZ-PEÑA
ES / Guillermo Gómez-Peña es un artista de performance, escritor, activista, pedagogo radical y director artístico de la compañía de performance La Pocha Nostra. Nacido en Ciudad de México, se trasladó a Estados Unidos en 1978 y, desde 1995, sus tres hogares han sido San Francisco, Ciudad de México y la "carretera". Su trabajo de performance y sus 21 libros han contribuido a los debates sobre la diversidad cultural, generacional y de género, la cultura fronteriza y las relaciones Norte-Sur. Su obra se ha presentado en más de mil lugares de Estados Unidos, Canadá, América Latina, Europa, Rusia, Sudáfrica y Australia. Becario MacArthur, becario de USA Artists y galardonado con los premios Bessie, Guggenheim y American Book Award, es colaborador habitual de periódicos y revistas de EE.UU., México y Europa y editor de The Drama Review (NYU-MIT), la revista Performance Art Week Journal de la Bienal de Venecia y emisférica, la publicación del Instituto Hemisférico de Performance y Política (NYU). En la actualidad, Gómez-Peña es mecenas de Live Art Development Agency, con sede en Londres y Senior Fellow del Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics.

Nascut a Ciutat de Mèxic, es va traslladar als Estats Units el 1978, i des de 1995, les seves tres cases han estat San Francisco, Ciutat de Mèxic i la "carretera". El seu treball de representació i 21 llibres han contribuït als debats sobre diversitat cultural, generacional i de gènere, la cultura fronterera i les relacions Nord-Sud. Born in Mexico City, he moved to the US in 1978, and since 1995, his three homes have been San Francisco, Mexico City and the "road". His performance work and 21 books have contributed to the debates on cultural, generational, and gender diversity, border culture and North-South relations. His artwork has been presented at over one thousand venues across the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Russia, South Africa and Australia. A MacArthur Fellow, USA Artists Fellow, and a Bessie, Guggenheim, and American Book Award recipient, he is a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines in the US, Mexico, and Europe and a contributing editor to The Drama Review (NYU-MIT), the Performance Art Week Journal of the Venice Biennale, and emisférica, the publication of the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics (NYU). Gómez-Peña is currently a Patron for the London-based Live Art Development Agency, and a Senior Fellow in the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics.
