ES Lukas Avendaño es quizá el artista más importante de la comunidad Muxe, el tercer género de los zapotecas. La poesía, la danza y la antropología son la herramienta que utiliza para enunciarse y expresarse. Desde el 10 de mayo de 2018 su hermano Bruno desapareció de manera misteriosa, encontrarlo entre los 40 mil desaparecidos que hay en México es, para Lukas, una utopía. Carta del director Miguel J. Crespo. México es un país indolente. Un territorio tan violentado que ha normalizado los asesinatos, las desapariciones, las violaciones de derechos humanos, los feminicidios y otros crímenes que, por corrupción o omisión de las autoridades, casi siempre quedan impunes.
Lukas Avendaño es el artista más importante y reconocido de la comunidad muxe. Nació en el Istmo de Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. Desde pequeño Lukas ha sido necio, terco y obstinado. A los siete años hacía berrinche para que su papá no lo llevará al campo a trabajar. Él quería hacer otras cosas; estudiar, bailar, sentir y volar como una mariposa.
Su fuerza en el escenario, lo transgresor y anárquico de su discurso, utilizando su cuerpo como herramienta performatica, lo ha llevado a países de Europa y América Latina. Aún con todo lo virtuoso y brillante que es Lukas, no ha estado exento de sufrir una desaparición forzada.
El 10 de mayo de 2018 su hermano Bruno Alonso Avendaño desapareció. Bruno era elemento activo de la marina cuando ocurrió su desaparición. La respuesta de la Secretaría de Marina fue: "el elemento causa baja por ausentarse tres días consecutivos a sus labores".
¿Cómo puedes presentarte a trabajar cuando estás desaparecido? ¿Cómo le exiges y obligas a una institución como la Secretaría de Marina que su deber era buscar a Bruno? ¿Cómo mueves ese elefante burocrático e incapaz que es el sistema judicial mexicano?
Lukas ha utilizado su cuerpo y la escena teatral performática y digital para hacer presente a su hermano desaparecido y para a su vez denunciar la ausencia total de las garantías ciudadanas del derecho a la vida por parte del Estado.
